Question Prompt List

Getting an autoimmune diagnosis can be a long and hard process, often taking several years, and visits with multiple specialists. It can be especially tough for people who are not familiar with the process to know and remember which questions to ask their health care providers. To help, the Autoimmune Association has created the Autoimmune Question Prompt List (QPL).

Designed with input from patients and medical professionals, this list helps patients by giving them specific questions they can ask their doctors. It’s made to be flexible, so patients can choose the questions that fit their needs. The QPL is particularly useful for patients from under-resourced communities, as it includes questions to help navigate challenging discussions based on personal experiences.

The QPL is an interactive online tool that can be downloaded to a mobile device or printed. It serves as a guide for talking to health care professionals, making the experience less daunting and more productive.
