Lupus

I began my life-long battle with lupus officially in 1990. Writing is my way of dealing with lupus.
I started being serious on my writing journey in 2022 after taking a poetry class at our local library. I was not sure what would happen; I never expected the anger towards lupus to come out so strongly and fiercely.
I hope someone reading my work will feel better knowing they are not alone. Autoimmune diseases are silent and hidden. They do not show the agony, pain and suffering.
I call myself a poet scarred by lupus but not dead.
