Part of a post I wrote about autoimmune disorders and art. I show here my lower body as flowers, with sunflowers marking psoriasis by providing the contrasting colour to the rest of the skin.

Sunflowers also symbolize self-acceptance and perseverance, which I’ve worked hard to achieve and maintain.

The words “Pretty Inside” are a reminder to me but mainly to others who can easily focus on it to just not focus on it; that I’m more than just a single part that looks different.
