For me, this poem is about many elements of autoimmune disease: The unknowns that still exist in medicine around autoimmunity. The way many autoimmune patients are seen as “mystery” cases due to diagnostic complexities and delays. The physiological behavior of immune conditions that can be incredibly multi factorial and erratic. And, as celebrated in this exhibition, getting creative with life when you have one.
