Autoimmune Association Leads Sign-On Letter for 2023 NBPP Proposed Rule, Highlights Lack of Language Protecting Copay Assistance
The Autoimmune Association led a sign-on letter commenting on the HHS Notice of Benefit and Payment Parameters for 2023.
The proposed rule includes policies vital to the unique needs of individuals living with autoimmune, immune-mediated, and related diseases. The letter highlights the following from that unique perspective:
- Lack of language in proposed rule addressing copay accumulator use
- Support for proposals addressing ACA nondiscrimination requirements
- Support for proposals regarding network adequacy and standardized plan options
This unique autoimmune comment letter highlighted the specific needs of individuals and families living with autoimmune disease and we look forward to continuing work with HHS on these important issues.
