Sanguine Biosciences: Thyroid Eye Disease (TED) At-Home Research Opportunity
Condition
Thyroid Eye Disease (TED), Graves’ Ophthalmopathy
Overview
Sanguine Biosciences, a provider of at-home clinical research services, is reaching out to raise awareness about an at-home research opportunity for people affected by thyroid eye disease (TED).
The purpose of this study is to characterize biomarkers of thyroid eye disease in order to aid in the development of a potential therapeutic. A biomarker, short for biological marker, is a measure that captures what is happening in the body at a given time and can be used as an indicator of normal or abnormal function.
Patients who qualify can support research by providing a one-time blood donation from the comfort of their own homes. As a thank you for participating, you will receive a $100 prepaid gift card after the collection is complete.
*Given the concern regarding the spread of COVID-19, all mobile medical professionals will be provided personal protective equipment (PPE) including gowns, face masks, gloves, hand sanitizer, and alcohol wipes in order to protect our participants and staff against the spread of the virus.
