Sjögren’s is a complex autoimmune disease that affects every part of my body. I also struggle with anxiety and depression related to facing ongoing health challenges and medical PTSD.

Painting allows me to express my authentic feelings and work through my emotions on canvas. This mixed media painting of a huge bright sun represents hope and positive energy. The dark, cloudy days don’t last forever and the the sun will eventually appear again, shining its bright light and warmth on the Earth. It also is a reminder of my love of nature and how walking in nature cheers me up when I have an extra tough day.
