My grandson was the inspiration for this “Day Dream” painting. My autoimmune diseases benched me from living life. For over 16 years I sat in a chair daydreaming. I stopped taking hydrocodone & Ambien 3 years ago and began using THC. I slept better and topicals helped my pain allowing me to get out of my chair. At 62 years old, I started walking, babysitting my grandsons, and even took them to the zoo! I began painting again! In 2022, I went on my first family vacation since 2004. I go out with my husband and have fun again. My weight has stabilized (higher than I’d like but down 20lbs). I think my little bit of exercise, better sleep, weight loss, and the resulting increased happiness will help me live longer. I still have my “down” days to recover and know to rest. I take care of myself, see my drs, and take my meds so I don’t just “DAY DREAM”.
